Hippotherapy: Enhancing Your Child's Communication through the Natural Movement of the Horse
PonyTalk Speech Therapy Services provides professional, effective speech and language therapy for children ages 2 to 10 utilizing hippotherapy. Hippotherapy is a speech and language treatment strategy that uses the natural movement of the horse to generate and support effective communication skills. Horses are extremely motivating and a great self-esteem builder! Children experience the benefits of therapy without feeling like they are doing any work. As a result, they may be more responsive to treatment in this setting versus a typical clinical or educational setting. All sessions are held at Windswept Acres at Stonetown, an excellent riding and boarding facility in Berks County (Birdsboro/Exeter Township).
